The development of a green iron export industry in Australia tops the list as the best remedy for declining balance of trade (read living standards), as Australia faces shrinking fossil fuel and low-grade iron ore exports in the years to come.

'The Lucky Country', and South Australia in particular, has massive renewable energy capacity and magnetite reserves to create green iron. What's missing is the awareness, collaboration and infrastructure funding needed to realise the opportunity before other regions take the cake and eat it too. Time is of the essence.
